In candle magick, the colors represent an association such as, love, money, protection, and luck; these are just some examples. You would be using the candle or candles of the color that represents what you intend to use them for, in the spells you preform. Herb magick is much the same, where you would use just a candle in candle magick, herbs are either used instead or in addition to candles.
Like candles, Herbs have their magickal uses as well, and giving the large and vast amount of herbs on this planet, it can be hard trying to figure out what each one's magickal use is.
