Navigating the World of Magnesium

 Internal Magnesium Journey:

When it comes to internal use of magnesium, it's like sending tiny magnesium messengers throughout your body. There are various forms available, including magnesium citrate, magnesium oxide, and magnesium glycinate. These forms take a digestive route, passing through your stomach and gastrointestinal system. While magnesium citrate is known for its efficient absorption and potential laxative effects, magnesium oxide is often used for its higher magnesium content. Magnesium glycinate, on the other hand, is well-tolerated and less likely to cause digestive discomfort.

External Magnesium Experience:

Now, let's step into the world of external use,

where magnesium takes a fast-track route to absorption. The options here include magnesium oil, creams, and lotions. Magnesium oil, despite its name, is not an oil but a concentrated form of magnesium chloride mixed with water. It's applied directly to the skin, offering a quick and efficient way for magnesium to enter the bloodstream. Creams and lotions are more user-friendly, allowing you to enjoy the benefits of magnesium without the fuss. The focus here is on targeted application – applying magnesium right where you need it most.

Distinguishing Characteristics:

Internal and external magnesium each has its unique characteristics. Internally, it involves a diverse range of types, each with its own absorption rates and potential digestive impacts. Externally, the emphasis is on simplicity and convenience, with different applications like oil, creams, or lotions catering to individual preferences. The key distinction lies in the absorption pathway – internal magnesium faces the digestive adventure, while external magnesium takes the direct route through the skin.

Tailoring Magnesium to Your Lifestyle:

Choosing between internal and external magnesium depends on your lifestyle and preferences. If you enjoy the ritual of supplements and want to explore various types like citrate, oxide, or glycinate, internal magnesium might be your comfort zone. On the other hand, if you're more inclined towards a personalized spa-like experience and targeted relief, external magnesium in the form of oils, creams, or lotions could be your go-to. The magic of magnesium awaits, and it's about finding the approach that aligns with your wellness journey.

Differences Between Internal and Topical Use:

a. Optimal Absorption Rate:

- Direct Entry into Bloodstream: When applied topically, magnesium bypasses the digestive system, ensuring a direct route into the bloodstream for rapid absorption.

- Minimizes Digestive Issues: Ideal for those with digestive sensitivities or conditions that may hinder magnesium absorption through traditional oral supplements.

b. Convenience of Application:

- Versatile Applications: Lotions, creams, and oils offer diverse application methods, allowing users to tailor their routine to personal preferences.

- Localized Relief: Target specific areas of concern by applying directly to problem areas, offering localized relief for muscle tension or discomfort.

Health Benefits of Topical Magnesium:

a. Improved Sleep Quality:

- Melatonin Production: Magnesium aids in the synthesis of melatonin, the sleep hormone, contributing to improved sleep quality and regulation.

- Relaxation Response: By promoting relaxation, topical magnesium can be part of a bedtime routine to enhance the sleep experience.

b. Enhanced Energy Levels:

- Cellular Energy Production: Magnesium is a co-factor in ATP production, the body's primary energy currency, contributing to increased energy levels.

- Reduction of Fatigue: Regular use may alleviate fatigue and support sustained energy throughout the day.

a. Stress Reduction:

- Cortisol Regulation: Magnesium helps regulate cortisol, the stress hormone, reducing the physiological impact of stress on the body.

- Neurotransmitter Balance: Supports the balance of neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine, influencing mood and stress response.

b. Mood Regulation:

- Serotonin Production: Essential for serotonin synthesis, magnesium may contribute to mood stabilization and a sense of well-being.

- Anxiety Reduction: Some studies suggest magnesium's potential in alleviating symptoms of anxiety disorders.

a. Muscle Relaxation:

- Calcium Antagonist: Works as a natural calcium antagonist, preventing excessive calcium influx into cells and promoting muscle relaxation.

- Prevention of Cramps: Regular topical magnesium application may reduce the occurrence and severity of muscle cramps.

b. Cramp Prevention:

- Electrolyte Balance: Supports electrolyte balance, critical for preventing muscle cramps and maintaining proper muscle function.

- Improved Circulation: By promoting muscle relaxation and enhancing blood flow, topical magnesium may contribute to cramp prevention.

The Choice Is All Yours

In the vast landscape of magnesium, internal and external paths offer unique adventures. Whether you're navigating the internal waters with different magnesium types or embracing the simplicity of external applications, magnesium remains a versatile ally in your quest for well-being. So, whether you're ingesting magnesium capsules or indulging in a relaxing magnesium cream, the choice is yours – the magic of magnesium is ready to accompany you on your journey to feeling your best.

I think It's time I finally start writing ...

Hello everyone! I know, I know, I'm sure you have clicked on my blog and thought... What in the hell?? She's got not a damn thing written in here, why the heck is it even here? Well, I hope to write about my life, what I know, my personal experiences, and practices. Except my life has totally been way wack, and busy as heck leaving me like no time to get into my writing. So with that in mind, take my apologies and lets get into my life in a nutshell.

Let's start with hi! My name is Heather and I go by The Green Witch. I'm a 37 year old witch that got my start in my freshman year of high school when I stumbled upon some fancy books on ESP & natural inborn talents like moving things with your mind, and mind reading while I was soaking up the smell of books in the library. Yea I know, total dork! But hey that's me and a good book is a great way to kick back and learn, that's how I see it. In high school I was that girl who loved to be in class, do my work, and learn all I could. I practically lived at school. My home life was pretty shitty so I found my thing in school.

Now I grew up under the weirdest traditions with roots in Jehovah witness and Greek Orthodox. My mom will swear to the Catholic side of our family, but forget that Bishops can't marry under roman Catholic law which makes our family very Greek by nature. On the biological side I'm split between Scott's, Sicilian, Irish, and German, and I'm pretty sure I decent from the Germanic Tribes, but proving it has been pretty hard. My dad's family has gotten us linked back to 1856, but I need to reach back like 900 more years to find out if i'm right or not. So needless to say I didn't fall into the way of my families current traditions, but it did offer me quite some perspective.

I see myself as universal, meaning that I see all traditions, as personal cultural traditions that are all universally linked within each other, but called by different names, and practiced under different ways. What one calls Jesus, another calls All father and so on and so on. What I can't seem to wrap my head around is the idea that one has to be better than the other, or more right... That sounds like the dumbest thing ever! That be like me moving into a culture that is different from my own just to tell them they are wrong for what they do. Ummm they be looking at me like "what the fuck you talking about" So I never understood why there is such a power trip on who's right and who's wrong. What is right and wrong? Who defined this idea of wrong? Why are cultural differences feared, and what makes the human being desire power through the use of pain suffering, and murder?

Ok, so I got off topic... I'm sure there will be a lot more posts about my philosophy in the coming text. So, why do I call myself a green Witch? I call my self green because I have developed myself out of what I call self creation. What I mean by that is that I do not have a tradition that I have glued myself to. I have been a long lived solitary practitioner that loves to learn through culture, people, practices, by vision, by feeling, and through experiences. This means that I do not pick up a book, in this case something like Wicca, and follow it by the book. It does not entirely fit who I am, but I can learn from it's practices, laws, and intentions. I am green because I find myself connected to the earth by practice, through life, by elements, and human interaction. I am green because I find myself drawn to plants, medicine, and healing. I am green not by a book, not by a tradition, not by one practice or another, but by the creation of my own.

Back ten years ago when I created the GWC it started as a blog, a place where I just shared the things I learned. I created and linked a Facebook page to the original blog that I created and started to share posts, memes, and random things. I built that into a group not really knowing what I was gonna do with it, and then it fell dormant with like 300 members. Life got in my way and I put my focus in other places. I perused plant based medicine, went to college, built another group, found out I was pretty good at growing things, built another group, and took care of my kids among the other stuff that took up my time. In 2018/19 the GWC began to truly develop into what you see today, which is a growing community of witches formed on the foundation of learning. My vision grew into creating an environment of pagans or spiritual people of all walks of life, cultures, traditions, and practices, under one roof per say, where we could learn from one another and not feel judged or shunned for how, or what we practice. Where knowledge is power, and learning is raw. Now over the last few years I've seen some bumps, some breaks, and some lessons come from growing this group, but I really feel like it's potential is just scratching the surface of what it can really offer it's members.

So the growth on the group has been massive, and my ideas have been massive right along with it, but i'm a cork when it comes to creating. Call it the artist in me or call it universe. When I get an idea, I run with it, I lay down the foundations, and set up its structure, and let it set for a while. I then go on to the next idea and do the same thing. I found that the universe often gives me a few ideas at once to develop and then moves me to another thing on my list, or takes me back to a previous development to put it into place. What I mean by this is that I had developed various groups on Facebook, one for each of my interests. Gardening, witchery, and healing/ medicine that I posted in randomly over the years, but didn't see how they would connect. Today these groups are linked to the GWC organization that is now developed. They have converted into Kitchen witchery, Garden witchery, and the witchery group under the whole of the GWC. So, I move with the universe as she sees me through the dreams I make for myself in the good that I want to give to the world, however that comes across, and that goes for each of the elements within the groups. No, I'm not giving up, no I'm not distracted, No I'm not lost, I'm simply allowing the universe to gauge the timing according to its will. That takes us right back to my empty blog.....

Here I am with my first entry in quite some time, finally with a little time to write... So what's next in my realm of ideas? Will you see more entries? Yup, over time I will start to tell all my secrets, and teach you what I know, but it will come as the universe feels it's needed, so hang in there with me.

I'm developing The Green Witches Academy. The foundations are set, but the classes weren't meant to be at the time when I developed the school. Universe said I needed a place, something more proper, and help. I'm sure I frustrated a few people and some of you lost faith in me, but if there is anything that I have learned in the years following the universe, it's that divine timing is not my timing. The greatness of the ideas that flow through me from universe are purposeful and direct even if I do not know the end result, or how to bring about the creation, but I do know that universe has not failed me in the desires and ways I wish to give back to others. All things are possible if you simply allow them to come when the time is right.

Recently I was given a place to develop the GWC storefront. A physical place to build out my dreams and give back to the community in ways I only hoped for.. With this location I was given the place I need to peruse the academy and seek the help I need to bring class work to the learning environment. I still do not know how things will come to be, but I can see the classroom that was created from my visions and I can see people in it. The ideas for how are coming, but I have left the help up to Universe as those who wish to teach will come forward.

So there is quite a lot going on in my life at the moment and many ideas, so I hope that you all bear with me as the development of what is and what will be are still in the works... It is my hope that you participate and enjoy the community, as well as get to know it's members, while giving back what you know because what you know might be exactly what the next person needs. Never underestimate your own power, lessons, or practices for they may guide another in ways you could never imagine. Be kind and loving as we all need those kinds of humans

Merry Meet. and Merry part as we will surly meet again ~

I Lost My Work.......

Well that just does it in for all the work I did on my second blog. I found out that since I could not afford the crazy price they had me on, and didn't renew when I should have it turns out that they essentially tank your effort......

Oh the frustration! I had a good twenty post to move over, but I guess I will just have to rewrite every single one of those. That's what you get when you don't back up your stuff! So bear with me as I have a lot of work to do over the next few weeks remembering the topics that I talked about. As for today, its stupid hot outside and I think I'm going to enjoy a bit of pool time with my family before finishing up this weeks homework. Keep posted as I plan to slowly add content to this blog! Have a wonderful safe day and watch out that sun is going to be hot as the summer rolls in!

Inside The Use Of CBD

Hello everyone!

Today I wanted to touch on a topic that some may say is controversial, and others swear by. Over the years many people have come to realize the benefits of Cannabis in one way or another, and others still stand on it being something that's bad. Personally as an alternative health major I stand on the side of how this plant has changed so many lives!

CBD is just one of the many cannabinoids that live within the Cannabis plant, and is known today to be the medical quality of the plant that doesn't contain the psychoactive property that THC has in the plant itself. Research has proven CBD to be truly groundbreaking. When western medicine has failed the many who suffer from seizures CBD has fought back and created a way to save those who had all but ran out of hope for their loved ones.

Below is a video of a Dr. Allen, a cardiac specialist and researcher explaining the chemical system within our body and how CBD helps our body maintain homeostasis and address seizures. Please take a moment to watch the video.

Please Excuse My Disappearance!

Hi readers!
Many of you have stuck around to see what I have been up to and unfortunately I fell away from writing for some time, and tried my hands out on different platforms. Once I get back into those platforms I plan to redirect the writing back to this blog.
So your probably wondering what the heck happen to me, and if I still do any of what this blog consists of. Well for starters, yes I do, and allow me to get you a justified update on my life over the last few years.

First things first, I stuck it out in school and I am now nearly done with my degree which I changed thought out the missing years. I was heading to find a license to practice medicine in the field of herbs, and now I am almost done with a bachelors degree in complementary and alternative health.  I was attending NMSU here in local Las Cruces, but ended up transferring to Ashford University to follow the alternative medicine study. I now have about 29 credits until I get my bachelors degree. The school is amazing and the study is perfect. You will see that I will work my way into updating this blog, by adding a special links area where you can get information on the listed topics, things related to my degree, more information on plants, and I'll even get around to adding videos! For those of you in the magic world, I haven't left nor have I forgotten. I am now learning how to read oracles and have found my path set in Norse, so expect to get information and posts related to the great viking way! I will post up freebies when I get the chance, but please link yourself to my Facebook groups as those will likely appear in our closed groups, or on our fan page. I will be updating the pages to include one more group that's focus is on plants. There you will find me LIVE from time to time diving head first into one of my latest ointments, or remedies where I show you how to make them step by step.  This group is called How to herbals, so keep an eye out for the direct link to our group. All people are welcome to join, just send me a request, via the page, and I will do my best to place acceptances quickly.
What many of you don't know is that from the beginning of 2015 until the present time I was struck down by a pretty massive health problem that pretty much stuck me right in my tracks and pulled me out of school for the better part of two years. I found out that I have five liver lesions measuring in at about one inch a piece coupled with problems with my pancreas. All of these problems span from menstrual dysfunction that ultimately put me in to menopause on march 3rd 2016. I was diagnose with stage four endometriosis that invaded my liver and tormented my life for quite some time.
I also took a break after my daughter was born due to unruly people intentionally using my blog to get back at me for the actions of others. I don't know how many of you remember my post of my son's tooth blues, where I use the peppermint tea bag to help his pain until we could get him into see a doctor the next day, or not; but I was met with child services on my door the very next day checking to see if I was parenting my children.
In case you were wondering, it was unfounded and my children were late to there appointment. This made me back off a bit because I just didn't need the drama of sorry people out to punish my kids for having a loving mother who is a bit unconventional, however VERY educated in the field of alternatives. The reality of the whole deal was this, one mother was mad that the father of her child was forcing her into letting him see his child  and she didn't like it. She forcibly stalked my family, stole pictures of my new born child (in intensive care I might add) to model how horrible she was as human being to others, hacked my websites, social medias, and and lied in open court to keep the father of my child from seeing the child we had together, on top of seeing hers. Only to make him look incompetent with a goal of gaining sole custody of their child, and still demanding that he pay her.

Now I don't like to air my dirty laundry often, especially to the public,
but honestly if you take some time to focus your effort and education on things you love to do then what right does anyone have to fuck with another persons well being just because their mad they could not have their way. What makes it OK to threaten me, my children, and disrupt my life over petty wants that first of all don't even consider the best interest of the child in question? Needless to say I've resolved that part of my life and picked back up where I need to be and gotten back on track.
After the first year I attempted to blog again using WordPress, but lost my domain and oddly everything I wrote :( I am trying to contact them to see if I can get my writing back, as I would like to share a them on here! I'm approaching 35 this year and my children have grown up super fast! My little boys are no longer little and my baby is almost six! In all this time I managed to buy a home and keep putting one foot in front of the other, even in the face of a near death illness! I'm glad to be back and I do hope that you continue reading with me through out the coming years as I have lots to say and plenty to share regardless of who doesn't like things! Keep posted as I will be introducing some other groups that I have created and opened the door to some videos on plants.

Looking Torwards a License , Faster Than I Thought

In my search to combine herbal medicine and psychology, I was struggling to find a school that I could attend that didn't mean I had to move. Already being in collage pursuing a mental health career meant that I might have to wait until I was done with the first degree to focus on such a specialized study. Well today I decided to just dive in and see what I could find for this study in an online teaching environment.
I really want to gain licensing not so much for all the knowledge, because over time I can learn that on my own, but for the degree. I may attain years of first hand experience, and know a million things at some point, but to the public its the best way to tell another person your really do have all this knowledge.
As much as a piece of paper could mean, I'd like to assure my customers, and eventually patients some piece of mind in my area of specialty.
So without further ado here's my plan!

I will be studying the

Each link will tell you more about each part of each degree and whats required. I am also going to elect to take the rest of the herb classes they do offer just to assure myself well rounded. My current college experience is almost a head with an associates degree in art, then to move forward with a bachelor and masters in Psychology.

In the end I intend to specialize in Attention deficit disorder, all 6 types. I then want to treat the disorder and its complications using herbs. As I go through my study I will be able to use herbs in other fashions to help those of you interested in other uses for herbs but mainly I would like to develop herbals that really fix this problem we have so much of, that's entirely too misunderstood.

Video Blog?

I know sometimes getting to know someone takes more than the words that they speak, or write, especially in healthcare. It's easy to make yourself look smart these day's on the internet, but I'd like to offer you guys an inside look at who I am and what my passions have become; as I learn in my life. I'd also like to show inside the process of making home remedies for your self and your families, and debunk some of the junk you have seen across the web.

By posting some short insider video on my blog I hope to help those of you who read get to know me a little better.  I like to write so not all of my post will include video, but you will see some more video posts, soon, in the future.
